BrightTails is a commercial, subscription-based pet bereavement plan and support service for UK dog owners. BrightTails is not intended to operate as an insurer or insurance intermediary and does not sell or arrange insurance policies. A BrightTails subscription is not intended to constitute an insurance policy, mutual scheme, savings product, investment product, deposit account or other regulated financial product. Plan fees purchase access to the BrightTails service and associated features and benefits; they are received as business revenue, are not insurance premiums, are not held on behalf of individual members and do not accumulate as savings, an account balance or a fund belonging to the member. Subject to a continuous 24-month waiting period and our full Terms & Conditions, eligible members may request discretionary financial support towards certain evidenced costs following the death of their registered dog. Financial support is entirely discretionary and is not guaranteed. Having an active plan, payment of subscription fees, completion of the waiting period, the death of a registered dog or submission of supporting evidence does not create an automatic or contractual entitlement to payment, reimbursement or indemnity. BrightTails retains discretion as to whether support is provided and, where support is provided, the amount offered. Any maximum support amount displayed for a plan level is a maximum limit only and is not a guaranteed payout, insured sum, accrued benefit or account balance. Any support provided will not exceed the applicable maximum support amount or the eligible costs actually evidenced and may be lower.
